Thomas turns 3!!!

It’s hard to believe, but Thomas is turned 3 years old last week.  He had a fun party with Grandma and Grandpa Boggess, Grandma and Grandpa Gibson and Uncle Brian and Aunt Ella.
Thomas is such a great little boy and it is so fun to watch him grow.  I love the sense of humor [...]

The newest Gibson

Here’s the first picture of our newest family member –  currently weighing in at a little less than a can of pop.  If you squint just right and tilt your head, it looks like we have another cute baby on the way on or about February 7!
The kids are super excited.  They claim to all [...]

Talented Kids

Thomas got the hang of pumping on the swings this summer.  Pretty good for a 2 year old, huh?  I’m only good for about 1/2 hour of pushing so his new-found coordination is awesome.  Looks like we may need to work a bit more on his counting skills, though…

I’m not quite [...]

First Day of School

The first day of school came last Thursday with great fanfare and excitement.  Ice cream socials and new outfits and brand new crayons.
Emma is now officially a 2nd grader.  She looks very mature, don’t you think?  Since 1st and 2nd grades are combined, she is in the same classroom again this year with Miss Beuter so felt [...]

So, Kari’s been pining for a play house for the kids for some time and, to this point, I’ve always just smiled and nodded and agreed that would be a good idea.

Then a couple months ago my neighbor, John, mentioned that a friend of his had a bunch of walnut trees cut down on his farm [...]

Power Hugs

As if we needed one more thing to love about Thomas, he now gives out, what have come to be referred to as, “power hugs”.
They are really pretty simple.  Thomas wraps his arms around your neck as far as he can reach and then squeezes like there’s no tomorrow.
It doesn’t matter how crummy your day [...]

Daisy, Daisy…

.
.
Well, Emma’s first year of Girl Scouts just finished up.  She was a Daisy this year and, due to her outstanding performance, was proudly promoted to a Brownie at a Bridging Ceremony held this last weekend.

.
.
Of course with Kari as the troop leader, the ceremony (which included a family picnic for about 70 people) was [...]
